Lucile Prache

I grew up in Paris France where I studied art at the Penninghen Art School in St Germain des Prés. Later I studied screen printing; a technique I am still in love with even though my favourite tools are now brushes, watercolor and gouache paints.

Lucile Prache Biography

What do you feel when you see the blank page? I feel free.

If you could be any object of art, what would it be and why? A Campbell’s soup silkscreen by Andy Warhol. Pop art was my first love when I was a student

Lucile Prache Biography

I was lucky to have a Chinese calligraphy teacher who taught me how to fill the space in a sheet of paper, the empty and the full, painting as if I was dancing. Since this teaching my work became forever looser. I am never happier then when a new illustration project pops up, I’m always curious and super excited after many years working as a free lance illustrator, I keep wondering what will be the next adventure.

Lucile Prache Biography

Creative pursuit outside illustration? I have been taking ballet classes ever since my childhood and still love it.
