About Us

The Illustration Room is a boutique creative agency representing commercial artists and collaborating with businesses, advertising and design agencies, publishers and brands across many industries globally. Based in Australia, the agency was established in 2007 by Katie Perrott after a 15-year career working in the magazine world as an art director in Sydney and as a creative consultant in Asia, overseeing the launch of international editions of syndicated global titles.

The team of illustrators and animators we have chosen to represent, and thus trust completely with your commissions, have been selected for a variety of reasons that enable them to confidently deliver on new creative briefs every time they pick up their pencils and paints.

In addition to offering a wide range of illustration techniques, we look for creative professionals who can deliver under tight deadlines and who are extremely capable in live drawing scenarios. We value thoughtfulness, flexibility, and effective communication when working on commissions, and appreciate working with artists who excel at elevating these briefs to new heights. They bring a collaborative approach, harmoniously merging their own unique ideas with our client’s objectives.
